My review is based solely upon the lunch buffet. I didn't enjoy the pizza we ordered from Red's in Fridley, but I tried the lunch buffet. $10 and does not include a drink. A little spendy for the casual lunch, but they do a good job in EP. They offer a small salad bar. Nothing spectacular, but everything was fresh, so no complaints. They had one pan of a pasta dish. It was good. It's not why you go there, but it's decent. They didn't have 18 different pizzas to choose from, and I was on the late end of the lunch buffet, so business was winding down, but they were still offering a couple of fresh pizzas. They didn't skimp on the meat or cheese, and it's good quality topping. I wasn't turned off by the sauce like I was when we ordered a pizza for carryout in Fridley. I wouldn't spend $10+ regularly for pizza at lunch, but the quality warrants the extra buck or two. If you just want a "slice" for lunch, they offer you four of their narrow-cut triangles from the buffet for $3.99. I'm not sure what happens if you only want cheese pizza and the buffet pizzas have meat and veggies, but $4 seemed like a fair price for a decent serving of pizza. I won't order from the Fridley location the next time I'm visiting my brother, but I'll return to the EP location for lunch.

My friends and I ordered their buffalo wings and pizza fries and had picked them up. My friends and I are wing snobs and measure up any wings against Runyons downtown (in our opinion are best in MLPS). These wings were very good and big! Not like the ting BBW's wings. The regular Buffalo had a nice kick but not over baring. The blue cheese was in packets which is your typical blue cheese. (We used Runyons homemade cheese). The only downfall is we didn't get celery. The pizza fries were very good and the marinara sauce was very good. They had a good butter garlic taste to them, only bad thing was they were cut into too thin of strips. Service was good. I had questions over the phone that he couldn't answer, but promptly asked someone who knew. He was even able to split up the tab when I picked them up. Overall I had a good experience and would recommend this place. I'd give 5 stars only if they had homemade blue cheese and would have included celery with their wings :)

I love Reds in St. Paul, however this doesn't seem like the same Pizza. It just taste different and I don't like the taste. Also went to lunch buffet, I just wish they had regular Pep or sausage pizza. Every pizza was specialty pizza like BBQ and stuff like that. I guess I just like Pep and Mushroom and regular stand byes. Ill try them again in hopes I have a better experience

Went on a Friday night. Seemed to be an abundance of angry customers for pickup. We dined-in and our wait time was certainly longer than it should have been. But the pizza is very good. In surprised there are still so many kinks to work out. I hope they can figure it out before customers lose their patience and start going elsewhere.

I loved the real one over on West 7th and now see the new one here. It's not the same flair but but the pizza is actually better at this one since everything is clean and new. The kids are trying hard to make a go of this and hopefully it will pull through. If your a Red Savoy person, your going to be happy. I ate there 3 times now and it's been a 4, 5 and a 5 each time. I think I'm going to try their buffet...

I have been meaning to stop into this place since it opened a few months ago. I got a coupon in the mail for a buy one large get one free so we finally went. It was around 6pm on a Saturday night, the place was pretty much empty, not a good sign for a restaurants busiest day and time of the week. I can see whey they sent out a "buy one get one" coupon in the mail. The service was good, and the atmosphere was cozy. While we waited for our food they seemed to do a decent take out business, just not very many people eating in. The pizza was ok....not bad by any means but not memorable either. Typical pizzeria pizza. They had a salad bar too which unfortunately only had about 6 items on it. There are some great pizza places in town (Punch, Gina Maria's, Davanni's) so they may have to up their game a bit to survive. I would go back but it wouldn't be my first choice for pizza in EP.

Ugh, I wrote a stunning, beautiful and insightful review of this place that would have won a Caldecott award, I tell you, a Caldecott! But yet it isn't here!?! Why, Yelp, why? Why are you making me write again? Don't you know I just did my nails? Post button? What post button? Ohhhh. Okay, here's the beef - the sauce is spicy. I don't care for that but my live-in Gorillas loved it. So three stars seems fair.

Red's Savoy - Some swear by it while I just welcome a new face to EP! The "Original" Red's Savoy Pizza has finally landed in the Southwest metro - right across from the EP center and smack between a Starbucks and Cold Stone. What is Red's Savoy Pizza? I like the idea that MSP Mag calls it "Minnesota Style" pizza. That is a great way to put it. I also like to refer to it as "Bar Pizza". It is cut into mostly squares instead of pie slices, loaded with salty cheese, and sports a thin crust foundation. I'm very much a pizza connoisseur, and consider Punch Pizza, Pizzeria Lola, and any Neapolitan style pie to be my favorite. Red's Savoy "MN Style" pizza has a great slightly spicy sauce. To me, pizza is really about two things, excellent bread and super fresh cheese. Does Red's have either of these? No not really. The crust is hardly bread. The cheese is salty and makes me want to drink a cold beer(coming to this location in 2 weeks), but I would hardly call it bufala di mozzarella(because it isn't). This Red's savoy is clearly attempting to convert from the classic/oldschool pizza joint of St Paul and into a product that can be franchised and marketed into a national brand. Upon entering the store, the cashier even let me know that they are a "Fast Casual Dining Experience". Great, I know what that is, but how about you recommend a pizza to try instead of read marketing material to me. The staff was very friendly, for a first day of business they were a bit rough around the edges. We were asked no less than 10x at our table if everything tasted good after receiving our pies(that took ~20min to make/bake). I'll forgive since this was opening day, I'm sure they won't be staffed the same in the future, but as a recommendation for the crew - assign responsibilities and don't step on each others customers(or annoy them). One slightly unique feature they have here is a pizza buffet from 11-2pm daily. It is $8.99 currently and from what I'm told they have a salad bar(see pic) along with cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and the House Special available at the buffet. Seems like a decent deal so I'll probably give it a shot soon with coworkers. If you do order a pizza(10" or 14") you can also add the salad bar to it for $2.99 - it's not on the menu but they offered it to us so we added it. Overall, it's a nice new concept in EP for getting pizza. They have stiff competition, in my mind from the far superior Punch Pizza, but also from shops like Umbria(has a buffet), Detello's(very similar product), Gina Maria's, and Davanni's. It won't be long before the big chains start ramping up Fast Casual pizza shops, watch out for Pizza Rev(BWW & Co), and many others. At that point, Red's is going to be seriously challenged.

Molly and I stopped in on a total whim. We ordered a regular cheese pizza and meatball boat. The pizza was good, nice crust, plenty of cheese and the sauce did not seem too spicy. Meatballs were just OK, definitely stick to the pizza. If we find ourselves back in the SW metro again, we would go back.

These were literally the hockey puck shaped garlic cheese bread that our find in the frozen food isle of most grocery stores but at a higher price. With all the different options out there for pizza I'd look elsewhere, I for one won't be back.

This rating is for service only. We love Red Savoy pizza! We have been to the the red savoy in eden prairie twice. The first time we had quite a long wait to get our pizza but it was a busy night and gave them a pass. We went again tonight. We called ahead of time and asked how long it would be if we ordered on the phone for dine in, we were bringing three young kids with us so did not want a long wait like last time. We were told 30 minutes. We got to the restaurant and paid for our pizzas and asked to purchase the salad bar as well. We were told they did not have much there and were not sure if they would have time to refill it. So we sat down and waited over an hour and 15 minutes. During this time not one customer in the restaurant received their food. Needless to say there were many many frustrated customers. As we went up to the front desk to say we had to leave as the kids could not wait any longer, one of our pizzas came out. They said the second would be done any minute. So the kids ate that pizza while we waited for the other...20 minuTes later they bring us a pizza which is the wrong one. They had given our pizza to someone else and then tried to give us one that we did not order. Their response was "I know this is not what you ordered but this is the best we can do". We left and demanded a refund and got it with a coupon for a free pizza. Not sure we will go back to redeem it.

My wife and I both agreed that it is the best pizza sauce we have ever had. We had a $30 Living Social voucher here so I ordered a Surly Furious and we got a Tom Barnard pizza (Sausage, Pepperoni, Green Olives and Sauerkraut) and a buffalo chicken pizza, both no cheese (I like to add parmesan and red chili peppers after it comes out) Good size regular pizzas, a little lighter with no cheese, so I easily polished 1 1/2 of them off (The other half didn't last long when I got home.) The Tom Barnard was my favorite, but the buffalo was fantastic as well. The sauce on the Tommy B was amazing! Just spicy enough and flavorful ingredients. I got another Surly Furious to have with the meal. Sooooo hoppy and wonderful. I am guessing they use use Frank's for the buffalo sauce because it isn't crazy hot, but you can sense the heat. The crust was a little to crispy in spots, but overall, a very good thin crust pizza. Two 20ish year olds were running the establishment and both were super cool. A great lunch on a hot summer day.

Usually I love buffets, especially pizza buffets! The Red's Savoy Pizza of Eden Prairie was the exception. My pizza buffet Groupon for 2 was a total hassle, requiring all 3 employees! The buffet was not touched or upkept or tended to by staff the entire time we were there. The Asian employee came out 9n the floor with his mouth full of food everytime, chewing like a cow chewing it's cud. All three employees were in the back on their smartphones the entire time. 3 of the pizza pans on the buffet line were empty. The only Pizzas left were non traditional pizzas: one with olives, one chicken alfredo, and one bacon cheeseburger. No sausage, no pepperoni, no cheese, and no dessert pizza. As patrons left the establishment, their dirty dishes including plates, glasses, and napkins were not cleaned up. Gross. Poor service & attention.

The pizza overall was delicious, but the pricing is a little steep. We ordered 2 large pizzas and with delivery and tip it came close to $50. Comparing to the others in the market, the cost would drive me to go to another competitor. The pizza was definitely topped heavily. We ordered the meat lovers and the east side. I wasn't sure what the sauerkraut would do to the pizza, but I didn't hate it. There is a lot of cheese on the pizza, so you do unfortunately lose the cuts as it melts back together creating quite a messy dinner. Would I eat it again? Sure! Would I order it again? Nah, I'd probably get a heggies.

Great pizza! We always get the house special hold the olives. The beer selection is small, but they have Furious, so I'm good. I saw some reviews slagging them for the buffet. I don't do pizza buffets ...ever. They're all bad. However, they're made to order stuff is spot on. Even the inside pieces are crispy crust. I'm taking away one star for canned mushrooms. Put fresh shrooms on the pie and I'll give you five stars.

I ordered the chicken wings and they were dry and tough. They must be frozen, because the manager says they cook them to 165 degrees. Had they been fresh, they would've been moist and tender. I sent them back. I then ordered the chicken alfredo pasta and that was pretty good. I took a frozen Red's special pizza home, and was disappointed. The green olives on it make the whole pizza way too salty. Black olives would've been a much better choice.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
